XDEV Open Source Java Application Framework Available Now
San Francisco based XDEV Software Corporation, has launched its open source XDEV Application Framework. The framework is available under open XDEV Public License, a CPL compatible license, including the use of the framework for commercial purposes.
The Framework is a Java library, to simplify the development of database applications based on Java Swing. It provides an architecture and infrastructure for database applications.
The Framework offers features such as event handling; form tests, generating and sending SQL statements and the treatment and processing of the result set using an abstract data layer. In addition, the Framework GUI components, a PDF report engine and architecture for Java applets is also provided by the Framework.
